Ep #73: The CP7 Watches & Wonders Golden Tiger Awards: The Winners, The Losers & The Norovirus!

Listen to full episode :

We are back from Geneva and Watches & Wonder 2026, so rather than following the crowd, we've added our own CP7 twist. So welcome to the inaugural CP7 Watches & Wonders Golden Tiger Awards, where we nominate our favourite watches from the show and award our combined favourites with the prestigious Golden Tiger. We pick from five specific categories so listen in to see which roars loudest!

So who were the winners and the losers in Geneva, did Rolex, Moser, Tudor, Piaget or Audemars Piguet shine? And who tanked to win the Silver Turkey Award?

Of course, no Geneva show is complete without our highlights from the journey and what we loved, and didn't love so much, at the show.

So buckle up and enjoy the ride of a watch awards show with a difference.

First up, the wristwatch checks: Andy is wearing his platinum Audemars Piguet 5043, also known as the Diva, followed by Parm with his cool retro Seiko Lord Matic.

Now it’s time for the CP7 Golden Tiger Awards, the following galleries guide you through each category.

Innovation

Winner: the IWC Pilot's Venturer Vertical Drive, followed by the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Impact Sapphire 42mm and the Hautlence Retrovision 64.

Dress Watch

Winner: the Zenith GFJ Yellow Gold Calibre 135, followed by the Piaget Andy Warhol Blue Quartz and the Credor platinum Goldfeather.

Tourbillon

Winner: the Artya Complexity, followed by the Arnold & Son Ultrathin Tourbillon Onyx and the Bianchet UltraFino Maserati.

Sports Watch

Winner: the Moser Streamliner Pump, followed by the Norqain Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite and the Gerald Charles Maestro GC Sport Tennis.

Complication

Winner: the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux, followed by the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar Openworked and the Angelus Tinkler 1958 Quarter Repeater.

Sorry, Tudor, this time, the Monarch for the 100-year anniversary didn’t quite have the X-factor for us, so it takes the CP7 Silver Turkey Award.

We finish with the watches we would take home, Andy would take the Zenith GFJ Calibre 135 Bloodstone Dial, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Skeleton Perpetual Calendar, and the H. Moser Streamliner Pump White Dial.

Following with Parm, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chronograph Perpetual Calendar Rose Gold, the Angelus Tinkler 1958 Quarter Repeater Yellow Gold, and the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Point Titanium Blue Dial.

That’s a wrap for our first CP7 Watches & Wonders Tiger Awards show! Let us know if you agree with the winners in the comments below, and which new releases you think would be worthy of the Golden Tiger Award. Until then, you’ll hear us on the next one!
