First up, the wristwatch checks: Tania is wearing her Patek Philippe Ellipse 3848 in white gold, followed by John with his first Patek Philippe, the Aquanaut 5064A. Next is Andy with the full gold Patek Philippe Ellipse 3748,1, kindly supplied by his friends at PELUCO. Finally, Parm breaks the Patek theme with his Breitling Navitimer A23322.

Check out and give a follow to PELUCO here.

Now we get into the core of the show. The following references and images are in sequence with the conversation, so make sure to listen along and enjoy the images at the same time.

Here’s an example of the classic Patek Philippe marketing strapline: “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.”

Next, an example of John’s first watch, an Oscar Waldan calendar chronograph, followed by Tania’s first watch, which was a bright pink Fiorucci!

Make sure to check out Roni M's IG here.

Now we take a look at some examples of all the cool Ellipse accessories, including Tania’s beautiful pendant.

Above is an extract showing the details of the pendant designs.

Here are some examples of those funky 1950s Gilbert Albert designs.

We now turn our attention to a few Patek Philippe Gondolo references from the 1990s, including the 5010, 5014, and 5024, and one from the 2000s, the Gondolo Calendario 5135, as well as the more recent 5124. We finish the Gondolo segment with John’s recommendation for Parm, the 5098P.

Here’s a shot from when Parm tried on Mike’s Patek Philippe Calatrava 570 in white gold. We finish this gallery with the statement that if you asked a kid to draw a watch, it would most likely look like the Patek Philippe Calatrava 96.

Pictured is the Patek Andy let go, the Calatrava 5119R.

Is the Patek Philippe ref. 3970 perpetual calendar the most sought-after complication from Patek?

The two pieces that broke the Patek secret, the Aquanaut and the Twenty~4.

Patek Philippe hidden gems? Go for the pocket watches, but also the Gondolo references 5010, 5014, and 5024, pictured earlier in the Gondolo segment. And don’t miss the Calatrava 3796.

That’s it for the show notes! Make sure to leave a comment for your chance to win a Collectability Ellipse cap. You’ll hear us in the next one.
